An Oldie but a Goodie!
« on: August 03, 2012, 10:43:13 PM »
You have a neighbor or a foe who prides themselves on their 10 field.

You covet that spot - 2 nice leveling squares tacked together...

Port in close - you will have lots of ports cuz hey... who are we anyway?

Cap em - port em out - and make that foe a lovely field of 1's after reset.

I first did this back on 61 and was hated, but revered for it.

I've only seen it done again by people the likes of Apple and a few others along the way.

Back then we spent a lot of $$$ to do it, but OH it was worth it.

Good one...

I guess you'd have to do this very close to maintenance and protect those flats well after you port the NPC 10s out?

Otherwise; what's to stop your enemy/neighbor from capping those flats back and building 10s again?  They would remain level 10 flats until maintenance, correct?

Hmm, I could see this being useful to lure your enemy/neighbor for other possible tactics though...

DarkTheory i see what  you mean but how many players actually pay much attention to the npcs around their citys once they are built. The only bot i know of which will even warn you that this is being done to your field is the OBOT. Port the ten and post 10k cata with some foot troops and i believe you will hold mosy of them you have grabbed
